Mike Han is a Detroit-based artist and designer whose unique journey has taken him all over the world before coming full circle back to his home state of Michigan. His artwork is a meditative practice that seeks to develop a better understanding of self, identity, and connection of people and planet. He has exhibited artwork in Seoul, Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Miami and has been commissioned to make art for Bloomingdale's 150th Anniversary, Detroit Pistons, Google for Startups, Ford Motor Co., LinkedIn, Somerset Collection, and has created art installations for Red Bull, Vitaminwater, and ArtPrize. Prior to establishing The House of Han—a body of work, a studio, and a home in Detroit’s historic Rosedale Park—Mike built an impressive reputation in the culinary world as an acclaimed Sushi chef.
