Mary Rousseau
Artistic Style: Mixed Media

Rousseaux, a mixed-media artist from Detroit's Indian Village, constructs paintings and works on paper using transparent layers infused with pencil, pen, ink, and gold leaf. Her art reflects the dynamic essence of Detroit's evolving landscape, embodying a fusion of time, space, and memory. Preferring numerical identifiers over titles, Rousseaux invites viewers to form their own personal connections, emphasizing the individuality of each experience.

NewbillThe Works of Albert Newbill
Artistic Style: Abstract Expressionism

Albert Newbill was a Detroit-based artist that utilized pastels and deep blues to craft atmospheric, gestural, and figural artworks. In 1957, Newbill showed at the New York Artists’ 6th Annual Exhibition alongside contemporaries Robert Motherwell, Willem de Kooning and Hans Hofmann.  His friends included Pollack, de Kooning and Franz Kline. A major yet lesser-known talent, many of his works exist in private collections.  The remaining works available through his estate are represented exclusively by TRA.
