November Launch! Schedule

Michigan Design Center is increasing the frequency in which we host our Launch! Tours, a series of hourlong events with a top design pro who will help get your project going in the right direction. Each Launch! event is complimentary and will focus on a specific topic:

Launch! Tour: “Making the Most of Your
MDC Visit”

Join George Bulanda, MDC’s Director of Marketing and Communications, as he gives pointers on navigating Michigan Design Center’s campus and offers shopping tips and inside information on how to maximize your experience at MDC.

Launch! Tour: “Tabletop: Décor from High
to Low”

The art of mixing fine art and accessories with flea market finds. Phyllis Whitehead from Fifi & Coco Interiors will give her tips and tricks to creating a beautiful tabletop using old and new décor.

Launch! Tour: “Creating a Perfect Hygge Space”

Join Joel Baird from The Ghiordes Knot as he shares tips on how to add Hygge to your home. Hygge is a Danish word that can be best described as enjoying life’s simple pleasures. It was created as a lifestyle in the 18th century and with the rise in popularity of Scandi style, it has resurfaced in today’s modern spaces. Come and learn about this trend.

Launch! Tour: “What Is Your Color ID?”

Colors can make you feel a certain way. With the turbulent events of 2020 comes the desire for calm in our environments as well as colors that uplift. Linda Shears from Linda Shears Designs, LLC offers tips about paint trends and inspirational palettes that showcase your personality and define your style. She will investigate how to select fabrics and create color schemes for your home using the 2021 colors of the year from both Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore.

Launch! Tours are capped at nine participants (except for Linda’s tour on Nov. 23, which is limited to six). If you are interested in one, some, or all four, call Emily at 248.649.2020 to reserve your place.
