TRENDS IN TRIMMINGS

Trim provides a great solution to help tie in fabric colors or create textures in your room. Today’s trim details often act as the final “piece of the puzzle” to help coordinate a well-designed and interesting space and provide one-of-a-kind customization options for your home. Just as your home reflects you and your lifestyle, today’s trim manufacturers have taken a cue from consumer lifestyles to develop their latest products. Here are a few trends as recently reported in Window Fashions magazine:

BALANCING ACT
This trend mirrors current day lifestyles where the competing attractions of the “latest techonology” and “simple living” collide on a daily basis. Just as in life, today’s designs often incorporate multiple design elements and styles in a single project. Trim manufacturers are meeting this demand by integrating industrial materials with natural and everyday items to provide transitional and flexible mid-range color choices.

FOLLOW YOUR BLISS
This trend emphasizes the consumer who maximizes their potential by identifying their passions and pursues them wholeheartedly. Trims follow suit in a true pastel color range, grounded by a deep, velvety purple / blue and fresh pale tints of lavender, rose and green leaf. Many of these trims are often offset by buttercream yellows.

ICONOCLASTIC
This concept emphasizes what matters most to each individual based on personal history and provides consumers a way to maintain a sense of individuality in an ever-more equalized consumer landscape. These trims often incorporate a palette of playful, lively hues with international influence.

VIE-LUXE
This trend speaks to those who love luxury and the resulting trims provide a sophisticated palette with a new spin on classic colors, including rich and saturated blends that are highlighted with bright 24K gold, silver, burnished bronze and shimmery lilac.
