The words “made in America” are increasingly important to those eager to keep the U.S. economy humming. Trying to find specific American-made products – cell phones and televisions, for instance – may be fruitless, but there are plenty of home furnishings proudly being made in this country.

Vacation Spots as Design Muses II

We continue our virtual summer vacation with a tour of Italy, which provided immense inspiration for designers Krista Nye Nicholas and Tami Ramsay, of CLOTH & KIND. In fact, they called their recent journey “a design inspiration trip.”

The colorful entry to the Casa del Herrero in Montecito, Calif. The Spanish Colonial estate was completed in 1925.
