MICHIGAN DESIGN CENTER PRESENTS JAMIE DRAKE’S NEW AMERICAN GLAMOUR: AN OPEN HOUSE AND LECTURE EVENT

Michigan Design Center is pleased to welcome the public to hear and meet renowned interior designer Jamie Drake on Thursday, November 1 for a special Open House and Lecture event. Michigan Design Center showrooms will host an open house from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm to allow the public an opportunity to browse the finest names in home furnishings, including the exclusive Jamie Drake fabric and furniture collections. At 6:30 pm, Jamie Drake will take center stage at Michigan Design Center as he shares his views on the New American Glamour.

During his enlightening presentation, the man behind some of this country’s most dynamic, distinctive and livable interiors will share with you the signature look that attracts his bold, confident and polished clientele. In addition, he’ll cover the five basic principles he follows to make an ordinary room extraordinary: Luster, Texture, Color the Curve and the Mix.

Voted one of the Top American Designers by House Beautiful and New York magazines, Jamie Drake has completed a vast array of residences, including a Los Angeles showplace for Madonna as well as multiple projects for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, including the renovation and restoration of Gracie Mansion.

Attendees will receive a copy of a Jamie Drakes book Jamie Drake's New American Glamour ($45 value), which features over 175 full-color images of Drake’s work and provides in-depth coverage of his design principles.

This event is open to the public. Tickets are $45 per person (or $60 per couple) and include the lecture, open house and a copy of the book (one per couple).
